Where do I even begin! Such a whirlwind day, but so so fantastic!
The rehearsal went pretty smoothly, but I definitely sobbed most of the way down the aisle the first time. The wedding party were thrilled with their gifts and then my two MsOH and I headed to the hotel and all curled up into the king size bed and ate chocolate, drank wine and watched wedding shows. It took me forever to get to sleep, but I did sleep a little.
Thankfully the rain held off most of the day and we were able to do a lot of the pictures and our first look outside. H (I totally typed FI and had to change it!) and I headed to the church in our Rolls Royce (with our super cute/old driver) and waited for it all to begin. H is not into being the center of attention and was SO nervous, pacing around. I was so afraid he was going to puke or faint, but he held it together like a champ!
I barely remember walking down the aisle, I don't even remember hearing the string quartet even so I know they were playing and I'm sure sounded beautiful. The ceremony was lovely and the pastor was great. It started to rain so we had to do the receiving line inside and my mouth was so dry at the end of it from greeting everyone.
Our first dance went great even so we never got to practice it since our last dance lesson almost a month ago. Dinner was amazing, everyone was telling us how fantastic the food and service was. The candy bar was a hit and everyone got into it before they were supposed to. The speeches were great and we totally wrote ours out on the back of a menu card during dinner, but it still went well!
Some of my best memories of the day are reading the letter H wrote me (thankfully we remembered before makeup was totally finished), our first look, taking the vows we wrote ourselves, looking out at all of our family and friends during dinner, dancing with my Dad (he's such a great dancer), SIL's BF and one of the reader's H dancing every step to Gangham style, hugging everyone probably three times and our last dance all alone before heading out the hotel. Seeing my vision come to life was amazing and everyone kept commenting how perfect everything was and how not one detail was left out It was more exhausting than I ever thought possible, but so wonderful all at the same time.
And now for some non-pro pics until I get my previews.
