Waterproof Camera for Honeymoon

I know there were some posts awhile back but I can't seem to find them.  Can any recommend a good waterproof camera that will actually go underwater?  We want something for snorkeling and other water activites.  I've heard good things about Olympus cameras but not sure which one is best.  Any help would be great, thanks.

I used the fujifilm Finepiz Z33WP for my wedding/honeymoon in St. Lucia.  We ended up taking most of our pictures with it and it was great bringing into the pool and ocean and not worrying about it getting wet. I think the max depth is 10ft for it so it might not be the best if you want it for scuba, but snorkeling it should be fine. I think they have a newer version out now, but it took great pictures and I reccomend it. I think my parents got it from Target for about $150.

if you want to see pics, I can send you a link of my photos

  • I just got the kodak play sport.   It is actually a camcorder that is waterproof.  It is the size of a blackberry and takes decent underwater pics.  I would check it out it might not take the best still photos but it might be cooler for snorkeling than a regular camera.

  • I also vote against the disposable under water cameras. FI and I brought one on our cruise last fall for our snorkeling and river tubing excursions. The one we brought with us was from Target and was a Kodak and that got used up very quickly, so we purchased another one on board the ship which was a different brand and somehow the plastic case must have had a leak because none of our pictures came out from that camera and the entire roll of film was ruined.

I highly suggest investing in a camera like the pp's mentioned above such as the Kodak Play Sport instead of picking up a disposable because you may end up disappointed upon return that a ot of your pictures won't develop.
