Good morning! My weekend was okay. We went out for dinner both Friday and Saturday which was nice, because for the last 8 months we had been too broke to go out! Saturday night we also went to the movies to see "Breaking Dawn." My FI and his buddy are the ones who wanted to see it.... But then yesterday our toilet overflowed and our floor was a mess. It took maintenance THREE hours to come by to fix it. I'm sorry, but I feel that situations like this should be their #1 priority. They know it is our only bathroom, so where else are we supposed to go? I was extremely irritated. They will be receiving a nice little letter from me...

Overall I had a pretty good weekend. I really wanted to get some WR things done - such as getting mason jars but I wasn't able to. We spent the bulk of it cleaning to be honest. I want the house completely spotless before we leave for KY for thanksgiving and of course laundry had to be done. Sunday was rather lazy - I ended up taking a 2 hour nap because I was grumpy and then FI took me out for my birthday dinner, he has duty on Tuesday and wouldn't be able to do it then. But it was really nice and we loved the food so it was a success.

I actually didn't know that TK was down - i'm such a bad knottie.

Good morning! My weekend was great! I had such an awesome time at my sister's wedding. I'm going to try to post some pics later today when I get off work. My only complaint on this Monday morning is that I'm still exhausted from the weekend! Oh, and thanks to all the girls that helped me out with my toast! Everybody at the wedding said they loved it, and I really appreciate you all taking the time to read over it for me! As for the knot being down for so long this weekend, I didn't like not being able to get my fix in the little bit of downtime I had. Binx- I'm sorry about the bathroom, that sucks. But yay for getting to go out this weekend! Hike- how was your weekend?

    Morning ladies!!

Hike: How was your outlet shopping? I found a closer one here in Williamsburg, I think it's only about an hour from here, so I really want to check it out!

Binx: I would be so mad to wait around for that long! Stories like that from many reviewers online are what made us stray away from living in condo or apartment complexes. So many of them look so nice but tenants always say that the management sucks or if there's a problem it isn't fixed right away either.

H and I had a good weekend. He came home from duty on Saturday morning, we were planning on going to Busch Gardens but found out online that they were closed! I guess theme parks around here are only open certain days/weekends on the winter time? I am not used to this at all. So then we spent our morning/lunch being lazy and watch tv. In the afternoon we went out, went to an indoor go kart place here then walked around the mall, ate at Johnny Rockets and saw Happy Feet 2! It was cute.

Yesterday we played bingo in the afternoon, it was our first time trying out the  ones out here. I won 1 game! Must have been beginner's luck but I had to share it with 2 other people though. That took like 3 1/2 hours, I've never played for that long. I guess we're just used to the ones in Vegas with 1hr sessions each. After bingo we went to the store and got some stuff. Last night we watched the AMAs before bed. I think the maintenance of TK yesterday was the longest I've ever seen it for! Usually it comes back up after few hours, it's rare that it's down all day long!

My weekeend was good.  Got to skype with H however, there were some issues with the computers/connection but anyway we still got to talk and see each other.  YAY for that.  I had a wine and hallmark movie night with a friend on Saturday which was fun but I paid for it yesterday.  My mom got here yesterday afternoon and will be here for a week.  Cooking, shopping and some mom time.

Ugh I'm off sick today, though feeling better. H was feeling realllly rough yesterday, though it was a 24 hour thing so he's back to work. I'm hoping I can get some laundry and cleaning done but my head is throbbing. Bleh. My work week will be really quick though, yay!!

    Happy Monday :)

Binx- Overflowing toilets are never fun.  It sucks it took so long :(

Mel- Glad the wedding went well!  Can't wait to see the pics.

Amh- Where'd you go for the birthday dinner?

Kara- I LOVE Bingo.  I don't go often enough here because of school but I'm really hoping to after December I make it a somewhat regular thing.  The people around here are crazy serious about it though. It's intimidating sometimes.

Crown- Glad you got to talk to H! :)

We had FI's stepdad's family Thanksgiving yesterday.  They always do it the Sunday before.  It was sooooo freaking good (and let's just say I did NOT log my food in myfitnesspal, haha).  I love his family.  We ended up driving separately because I live two seconds away from his grandma's house.  So we just met there.  He left early and I stayed and hung out with his family.  I love it.  I'm so glad they still all get together.

Kara - I love williamsburg's outlets! Once you get past the HRBT traffic isn't too terribly bad - it normally took me about 45 minutes to get there. :) They definitely beat the outlets in Saint Augustine here.

Spiffy - We went to a little family owned Italian place called Enza's. Best Italian dinner I've ever had. I'm definitely really happy we tried it out!

Irish - I hope you feel better soon!!

Irish: Hope you feel better soon!

Spiffy: I LOVE Bingo too. It's something that my mom and I would go do, and with my grandmothers too when they visit. I love to win even more! The last time H and I played in Laughlin, I won 2 straight games, it felt so exciting! What made us go was because I remembered our old base in Japan was having their monster night with a jackpot of $60K! I wish we were still there, so we decided to check out this one instead. I agree that some people do get quite crazy with it!

Amh: What kind of stores do they have there? I only found out about it because one of H's old friends from HS apparently moved here and works there now. It can take only up to 45 mins? That's even better!I miss the outlets, I was spoiled with them in Vegas.

Kara - I mainly went to the Kirklands, Harry & Davids, Coach, and the clothing stores. But here is a link to their site which has a store directory; http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/store_listing.asp?id=89 Just a headsup, when your navigating there - there are quite a few 'outlets' but this one is the best one. So google/garmin might take you to a different one, I normally just enter 'Coach' and it brings me there. The other 'outlets' are like 4 or 5 stores. And I havent been to the other outlets in forever, but I think its a pottery outlet type thing. I remember liking it when I was like 12 but I'm not sure what they have now.

    Hello! :)

This was a lazing around but also fitness weekend for me. I biked and jogged all over the town in preparation for thanksgiving dinner this week. I get to see my family for the first time since August AND eat super awesome tasty food. :)

Binx: Ugh, I'm so sorry that you went through that. :/ Especially cause it was your only bathroom. Maintenance at my apartment....well, it sucks. I had to write a very long letter to the manager to get anything done.

Irish: I hope you feel better soon! I'm going to have to do laundry and clean up everything before I head out to my parents. I really just want to put everything in a bag and wash it at their house though...that way someone could help me fold it. XD

I haven't been shopping in forever but I live 2 seconds away from the Prime and Tanger outlets....life is cruel. I'm so close but so broke. -.-

Irish, sorry you're sick!  Hopefully you feel better soon!!!

I started feeling cabin-feverish on Saturday, which is a good sign - when I'm sick, I just want to lie around.  On Sunday, we went and adopted little Sasha.  Apparently dog owners have strong immune systems, and they can help calm anxiety, both of which have been problems of mine.  You all have seen me talk about getting a dog for awhile, so this isn't a rash decision.  FI is over the moon about little Sasha, he loves her to pieces and is super cute with her.  She stole my heart right away - I love that girl so much!

Any word from Beach if she bought a house???

I have tried writing this 3 times.... and I either get distracted or my computer freezes up.  So I give up.

I am seriousl excited about seeing FI tomorrow! I just have.... an exam, a work day, 2 group meetings, all standing between me and the best week in a long time. I can't wait.

Now if I could just kick this cold to the curb it would be fantastic!!

We had a pretty good weekend. Went up to Jackson for my grandmother's b-day, she turned 89 on Friday. We brought her fresh shrimp and just kind of hung around and did some chores for her (putting up her wash line, moving plants into the garage). She loves FI, so it was pretty fun. Did meet up with FI's family (who are now not coming for Thanksgiving because they can't find a rental car) and had an incredibly awkward lunch. His Dad and brother talked to me, but his Mom was still just really cagey and avoidant. She still won't speak to me or make eye-contact, even when I ask her something directly or try to talk to her about her work. We invited them to my grandmother's because they haven't met Archie yet and we had him with us, but they didn't want to, which kind of hurt FI's feelings. It's tought because his Mom talks about how much she misses him whenever she sees him, but doesn't seem to want to make the effort to be in his life.

She's also decided that her boss is bipolar (the same way she decided that FI had Aspergers-which is just not true). I have to say, if you have quit/been forced to quit every job you've ever had in your industry, maybe it's not them, maybe it's you. Just a thought.

I'm spending the next few days cleaning like a fiend and getting Thanksgiving together. Blerg.

I'm in no mood to cook (though I did motivate myself to shower and start some laundry) so I just threw frozen dumplings and frozen spinach into some chicken stock and called it 'homemade soup.' That's gotta be close to chicken noodle, no? Tongue out

Divine, sorry about the FILs.....I swear, they should come with instruction manuals.

Cal, when do you have the ok to go back to work? Waiting until after the holiday? Or it's just when the sores scab over?

Irish, I'm back at work today.  Already behind - just had a client call and ask how we can possibly speed things up as her boss is on her to get it done quickly.  These things don't happen overnight, but I'm about a week behind now, and it sucks.  The wounds have scabbed over, and I'm not in nearly as much pain as I was before.  Still on the antivirals for a few more days, but off the pain meds.  Thanks for asking!

Little Sasha comes to work with me as I have a dog-friendly office - there are two other dogs in the office, one a little dashund/chihuahua mix and one a giant bermese mountain dog!  Sasha loves them both, but she mostly loves sleeping in her bed next to my desk.

I'm officially on my Thanksgiving break!! No classes until next Monday!  I'm doing some HW & writing out our menu for Thanksgiving.  My weekend was pretty boring, but our Christmas Tree came today, and my dad and I set it up (I'm pretty allergic to most real Christmas trees, so we always go fake).  It's like 70 outside today, and I almost stepped on a rattlesnake, in flip flops... I screamed bloody murder.  My mom said it's because they're trying to find a home for the winter.

Binx-I'm sorry about your crappy maintenance! That's ridiculous how long it took them to get to you!

    Irish-I hope you feel better!!

Irish-feel better!  That sucks not feeling good with Thanksgiving coming up.

My online teacher basically gave us last week, and the next week off.  Our stuff is always due on Wednesdays at midnight, so she didn't give us anything to turn in on Wednesday night, but then for next week it has "Happy Thanksgiving!" How nice is that?! She's also in Oregon and she has it set for being due on Wednesdays at midnight on the West Coast, not where we all are on the East Coast. Does that make sense?  I'm sorry your professor obviously hates Thanksgiving!! and therefore hates America!

Indeed! Yeah posts are due on Wednesday night before midnight.  The papers are due on Sunday night before midnight.  She is somewhere in the mid west. I totally get what you mean though.

That is SO cool! How I wish my work was dog-friendly. My tiny dog is a chihuahua/pomeranian mix and I know all she would do is sit in my lap. Super jealous.

I had a 3 day weekend. It was nice. We had a welcome home party for my FI. It's nice to have him back. We are arguing a little bit which worries me. Even though he's only been training for 6 months, he's a little different. i'm just hoping that works itself out and we can both adjust to having him back home. It was still a nice weekend though. Only WR thing that I did was make an appt to go see some vintage furniture to use for the reception. :)
