Anyone know anything more about Ring Relay/ Ribbon Ring Ceremony

http://www.seiyaku.com/planning/en/ring-relay.html

These are the websites that I've found on it, but I was just curious if anyone knew anything more about it? I'm just curious as to how it started, or if there are any things that our officiant could say while the rings are being passed around? I think it's a pretty cool idea, and my FI likes it to. I just wanted to learn more about it, but I don't know if there's another name for it. I didn't find very much about it, but it could have been what I typed in.

Re: Anyone know anything more about Ring Relay/ Ribbon Ring Ceremony

  • This sounds similar to a Ring Warming ceremony, where rings are passed through the guests as they are invited to pray / wish / pour their love and support into the rings, so by the time they reach the bride and groom, they are "Warmed" with the love and support of the family and friends.  This doesn't involve ribbons, but it does pass the rings through the guests.
  • We are doing something similar, the ring warming ceremony.  At the beginning of the ceremony, our officiant will say something about including all of the guests, and giving them the opportunity to "warm" our rings with their well wishes and positive energy, and then the rings, tied on a ribbon and place in a sheer fabric bag, will make their way through all of the guests.  I love love love the idea of giving my guest the opportunity to be included in the ceremony.
