Blech. Not a good start to this week for DH.

His grandpa passed away today.

I'm glad we got to see him in September, and I'm really glad he got to meet The Boy. He didn't look good in September, and it was so hard seeing him especially because the man I knew had always been so happy and healthy.

DH is flying out on Thursday but it looks like The Boy and I won't be able to go.

I did not know him well, but he was one of those people who gave everyone a hug because everyone was a friend. DH was close with him and was really upset in September to see him because he looked totally different. He had been improving but we knew this day would come.

We lost H's grandpa last year and it was hard. Especially when the funneral was so different from what I am used to. It made it harder not to be able to mourn like I am used to.....I'm glad that your H will be able to go.
