May 2012 Weddings

What are you doing/going to do with your new free time?

Without a wedding to plan, I am going to try to craft or bake at least once a week. I might even make a blog to keep me on my game.

For now however
  • Clean this house!
  • Put away all new things, take all old ones to Goodwill
  • When photos come in, make and order mixbooks

  • After the HM I graduate and start job-searching. Also moving the rest of my stuff into our house (its half there and half at my parents). And.....teaching FI how to clean ;). Jk, but I am hoping me being there full time instead of half time is a bit of motivation....

    My Blog:Through My Eyes

  • ... trying to keep our apartment clean. Trying to soak up the time with my husband. I would love to get everything organized. I am trying to cook more because we aren't running out for a million meetings anymore. I also will be doing prints/canvases when our pictures come in :) Other then that, I have no idea :) I need a hobby.
  • I was just wondering this.....

Get back on my bicycle is a priority for sure. We're going to be doing some projects around the house (flooring for entire first floor, lighting, painting, etc), I'm probably going to go back to school for change in career. And wait 8 long weeks before our pictures are ready!
  • I will have practicum starting right when I get back for my MA so that will keep me busy...but in december when I graduate I will have no idea!

  • Well, DH starts a job that is about 2 hours away next week so, not sure how I will occupy my time.  He plans on driving back and forth every day but I am not excited about that because it makes for a really long day for him.  I have a few books I want to read so I hope to spend some time doing that, finding creative ways to display our wedding pics, cooking more, and really hoping to get back to the gym so I can be in shape for our HM to Greece in September!!
  • I will be closing on our house in June, so i will be decorating and painting the house.
I also an getting a kitten right after the HM, so we will have her to play with!
And I will be starting my new job the week after the honeymoon, so that will be a transition from college to work!

  • Going back tyo school full time and trying to stay ahead of laundry so that we aren't doing 6 loads on the weekend.   This is what happens when a nurse and a mechanic live together- mass laundry

  • SLEEP! haha. it will be nice to have my life back but I gotta say I do like staying busy.
We are also getting a kitten when we return from our HM!! yayyy :)
  • While I didn't get a permanent job, I did get a sub position at a preschool and they know when they will need me weeks, even months in advance! So now I have work for at least 2 months and hopefully someone leaves and I can take their job!

DH and I have, well more me, using some of our wedding money to get some things for our house to spruce it up because we went from a tiny 1 bedroom

Once our photographer gets our pictures to us I will then make our wedding Mixbook!!

I was slightly worried how I would spend my time after the wedding planning was over, but I am so glad my life doesn't revolve around our wedding and we can just enjoy our married life :)

I am definitely going to spend some time cleaning this place up! It needs a good deep clean (spring clean in June) and I've had no time to get anything done with worrying about the wedding so much! We plan on ripping some cupboards out in the kitchen, doing some landscaping projects, getting a new front doory, and painting the bedrooms in our house but all that has to wait until after July because we are booked solid for weekends with weddings, family functions, and FI's 2 weeks army stuff this summer. I can't wait to relax on our deck with a good drink and a good book though :)

We bought our first home about 5 months ago and haven't really done anything with it because wedding planning/saving was a priority. So we will be painting, decorating, and even finishing up unpacking and organizing. I love to cook and that has kind of gotten neglected so getting back to that too. And of course, relaxing and enjoying the feeling of not having to do anything for a while with almost husband :)

  • Read!  There have been several books out lately that I really want to read but haven't made time for... ie hunger games.  We are going on our HM 3 weeks after the wedding, so I'll be prepping for that.  Also, right after the HM (can't do it before because of my passport)- I'll start working on name change, insurance, etc.  I will also be spending a lot of time getting our new house how we want it and putting things away!  I have tried to put things away as I take them but boxes are starting to pile up!

  • Well, for sure we will start house hunting.  But I'll probably start knitting again.  I miss it; so many unfinished projects right now :-(
