Who picks the Father/Daughte & Mother/Son songs?  Is it up to the child or parent?

    I think it should be done together.  The dance is a special dance with a lot of meaning to both people - choose the song together.

    My mother was trying to pick my fatherdaughter dance song, but we weren't happy with it. She loved "I loved her first" by Heartland. My father and i both aren't country fans though. My father would have seriously went along with anything to make everyone happy..so i wanted him to have a say. We came up with a song together. I think its more meaningful that way.

    I'm going to give my dad a cd of songs that I like and think he will like, but am asking him to pick it-- and if he has a different song choice that is fine too.  I just want him to have the final say, but that's me!
