NEED a SALON for HAIR and MAKEUP Sep 2012 - NARR, RI

Hi, my hair stylist and makeup artist who I hired from providence to come in have just fell through. I am looking for a decent salon in south county that specializes in makeup and hair and caters to a younger, trendier crowd. (nothing wrong with the 60+ but thats not my style)

Any suggestions? Am willing to pay a small travel fee if it's for someone skilled.

    all i can think is spa mosaic? in wakefield...but i'm sure some narragansett brides will have a good idea. i am using kristin greene- going for the trial tomorrow night :) she travels but not sure if she is available on your date. you can google her for info - it's simply beautiful by kristin greene. she was available last minute for me -so maybe you will get lucky if you like her. the other place i looked into was serai in east greenwich that looked cool - but they got back to me too late. there is also salon rouge in wakefield - but not sure if they could accomodate a bridal party - my boss goes there for hair and loves it but it looks kinda small on the site. GL!

    Sara Faella and her glam squad have a salon in Providence but they will travel to your place for hair and make up. She recently won Best of R.I and is a Knot's Editor Pick for Best Hair & Make up Artist. Sara and her girls did an absolutely wonderful job at my wedding and I love that she offers air brush and HD make up.     Sara Faella also has a location in South County.  It would definitely work for you!  See if they have anyone available for your dates - I went for my trial a few weeks ago, and my stylist was fantastic!

    Stephanie Keenan at Shear Madness, 401-782-8288 depending the day in September she may be available. Also she has a person that does an amazing job on Makeup!

    Be very careful about booking Sarra Faella/ Glam Squad. They arrived late and understaffed for my daughter's Sept 2011 wedding. Made us all late and did a poor job on the bridesmaids' and MOB's makeup. Turns out the stylists were coming from another wedding. Sara seems to have over-booked. Sara originally apologized and told MOB she had sent a refund check, but it turned out to be a fabrication. Never sent check, even after txting that the check was in the mail. Later tried to argue about situation and that we should settle for some sort of makeup party (with all out of state wedding party). Glam Squad broke contract by arriving well after contractual time, with fewer stylists than agreed upon, and they failed to have girls ready by time specified if contract. They made us more than 30 minutes late for wedding and MOB missed out out helping DD into gown and other once-in-a-lifetime experiences. VERY rude & unprofessional handling of situation by Sara. We don't understand why our experience was so different than the reviews posted. Makes me hesitant to trust that reviews are unbiased. Just be very careful about hiring Sara Faella or her Glam Squad for anything time-sensitive. Be particularly leery of using Sara for any wedding coordination services.

    I'm using Sara Faella & "glammie" I actually just had my trial last night! (eek) I was so late in the game and I had contacted 4 or 5 beauty vendors between RI & CT from the knot and Erin (i believe her assistant) was the only one to get back to me right away! I'm still receiving emails like "thank you for contacting me.." from those vendors, it's like hello I contacted a month ago and my wedding is in 2 weeks!! 
    My trial makeup was so amazing she did airbrush and I am obsessed!! I wish I had a glammie with me everyday (although I would have to cancel my wedding to afford it haha) I felt I should write up on them bc of the awkward post from what looks like has been taken down..it just didnt sound like our Sara. Her reviews honestly match her and when you meet them in person you will fall in love! I'm so happy and releaved it's the one thing I wont have to worry about it on my day! I'll let you know how the big day goes!!!! 8/26/12!!

    </div><div>Oddly enough the username was registered in 2009, the wedding in 2011 and the service mentioned was not offered in 2011. In fact it was only recently announced by the vendor. All previous posts by the username was hidden.  </div><div>
