Gah! Photographer bailed

So- I had a photographer all booked for my June wedding.
I went to HS with him and I set him and my sister up to photograph her wedding this past may.
He had really good work and really great pricing
Engagement session, full day wedding photography with 2 photographers, and trash the dress session for $1200!

He said he wants to go back to school and is selling his equipement to pay for it.

I'm crushed!
We had budgeted only $1200 for the photography since that is what he was going to charge, I don't know how much more we can afford.

Anyone have any cheap recommendations?

    Creative Images in Little falls has a $1500 package --- it has no prints, but you get a cd with images.

    Yeah I forgot to mention that too- I don't need prints, just full rights to the images to make my own albums (I'm a scrapbooker)

    Instead of ignoring, can he be told to knock it off by a moderator? He goes out of his way to make a snarky comment whenever he can and when he does, threads turn into bickering about the comment instead of about the topic.

    Snark is not against the terms of service. I can't tell people how to post if they are playing within the rules. The way to avoid bickering is to ignore the snarky comments. As they say on the international boards, don't feed the troll!

    I usually just ignore bereasonable2, but I must say, I'm with him on this photographer.  I checked out the link and it's not a professional website, it's a blog.  And at the top it says, "<span>Follow me, Janette C. Mochnacz, as I build my photography portfolio and take steps to turn my passion into a career."

    She's obviously newer at this and hence the cheaper rates.  You get what you pay for.  If you like the photos, go for it!</span>

    haha, I missed all the fun!

    Thanks everyone for your help.
    We are booking Ultimate Party Central photographer.  A friend had used them and we liked their photos.  Giving us a decent deal too!
