When are people going to RSVP?

One week from tomorrow (Thursday), will be my RSVP deadline. I'm still waiting to hear from LOTS of people. I'm getting nervous!

Do people generally tend to wait until the last minute to send back their RSVPs?

We got a large number of RSVPs back the first week, then we'd get maybe one or two a day for the next couple weeks. You'll find that a lot of people will send them back on, or just before the RSVP date. Since your RSVP date is on a Thursday, I would give until the following Monday or Tuesday to wait for the people who put them in the mail at the last minute, then start e-mailing/calling to find out if they are coming.

I agree with Tree. People do tend to wait until the deadline - for one reason or another. Since your deadline is on a Thursday, give them the weekend to realize - OH SH!T, I need to mail that back. Then start the emailing/calling/texting. That last week, we definitely got a handful that were 'missing'.

You'll probably have several mailed Thursday. Start calling people up the middle of next week or so.

Thanks, ladies. I also know it's Tax Day on 4/15, so people are probably busy with that, too. I also just realized a lot of people I'm waiting to hear from are "& guest". Maybe they're deciding who to bring?

Hopefully they come in. I would be pretty annoyed about calling, texting, emailing people.
I guess I will be experiencing this soon because I just mailed my invites today!!!
