Wow...my dress is here already!

When I orderd my dress from The Wedding Shoppe in late August, the sales lady said it would take 4 months for it to arrive. You can imagine my surprise when I got a postcard 2 WEEKS later saying it was here already! Not that I'm complaning, but it's crazy how off their estimate was...

That was seriously one of my biggest worries (getting a dress in time) with a short engagment; thank goodness that's been alleviated.

Did anyone else have a super quick dress arrival?

When I was a BM in a wedding, David's Bridal had told us our dresses were going to take 2-3 months to get in- they came in a week later. Maybe they overestimate so you'll be pleasantly surprised!?

I also ordered my dress from the Wedding Shoppe.  I had ordered it in February and they said it would probably come the end of June and I got it the first week in March.  I was only bummed because I didn't want to finish paying for it already! :)

I think they tell you what the max time is that it could take to get your dress so that they don't get people freaking out on them when it's not there by the date they said.  Our BM dresses also came in about a month earlier than expected.

My dress is also from the Wedding Shoppe. I ordered June 25th and haven't heard anything yet-they said it would be here mid-October. Everyday I hope they call! Speaking of, I changed my address so if they do send a postcard, I wouldn't know anyways!

My dress took 12 weeks to come in when I was told 4-5 months.

They probably say that so they don't have a bunch of crazy brides calling freaking about their dress.  HA :0)

I ordered my dress from the Wedding Shoppe also and they had said it would take 4 to 6 months to get in. Mine didn't come in two weeks like yours did, but if came in after 2 months and I was so excited! :)

i got my dress from the wedding shoppe also , and was told it would take 5 months to arrive, but it only took 4 weeks so i was happy. Maybe they estimate longer just incase...i prefer it that way

I think that bridal shops tell people that to give them a sense of urgency... "OMG, it's going to take so long, I better buy now!"

Better to be early than late, though.

I ordered my dress from Glenrose Bridal in Chanhassen at the end of July.  They told me it would be in mid Novemeber, but I got a call last Friday telling me that it was in.  I was suprised, too!

I guess I'm the odd one out.  My dress came in about a month and a half late, less then a month before the wedding. It sucked, but worked.
