Hello all! Now that I'm married, I really need to get my dress cleaned!

We tromped around Detroit and the hemline of my dress is pretty filthy.

Does anyone know approximately how much it will cost to clean a wedding dress? Also, recommendations for local dry-cleaners to take it to?

My parents live right by Janet Davis cleaners on Woodward, but I have no idea of the cost (not sure it's worth it if it will cost 100+ to clean).

    I've heard Janet Davis is pricey. Do you (or your parents or friends) have a regular dry cleaner that you trust? Mine was about $125 to be cleaned and preserved (about $90 of that was the dry cleaning part). My mom took it to her dry cleaner in Mt. Clemens, which is why I suggest going with one you know and trust.

    I don't really get dry cleaning done on a regular basis, plus I live in Grand Rapids.

    I'm hoping to find somewhere that will do it for a little less than $90 (though I know that's not very likely).

    I'm just trying to get the dress cleaned so I can try to sell it.

    Janet Davis is pricey.  I'm thinking about doing one of those mail in ones since they are under $200 and are the cheapest I've seen.

    Do any of your friends use dry cleaners in GR? If not, maybe just call around. If you're just trying to get it cleaned, I'm sure any reputable dry cleaners could do it. Did you try the GR board.

    Also, side note...did you AW your wedding yet? I want to see pics!!

    I have not AWed yet! I had a ton of photographer friends attend my wedding so I'm trying to collect a bunch of their fantastic photos so I can properly AW :)

    I promise I will do it in the next few days!
