BAD Tuxedo experience/GREAT Tuxedo experience

Don't know if you all have your tuxedos for your wedding yet.   Just wanted to let you know our experience.  We booked at a bridal show with Tip Top Tux, and were totally misled!   When we went to the store the ALL the pricing had changed and they were not helpful at all.  They were VERY RUDE.   We asked for our deposit back and they would not return it.

We left and went to Gentleman's Choice and they were AWESOME.  We are very happy with the price they gave us, and we are getting everything we want.  They were willing to let my Finance try things on, different styles and colors.  We never felt rushed.  The girl that helped us was very friendly and went out of her way to accomodate us.

I highly recommend Gentleman's Choice.  My brother used Gentleman's Choice for all of his proms and told us to go there, the only reason we didn't start there in the first place was because we felt Tip Tip Tux was giving us such a great deal on tuxedo rentals with bridal show pricing.

I guess we learned the hard way.  Good luck!

We used Gentleman's Choice, too, and had a good experience.  I thought they had really good rates and everything turned out well.

I'm using Bel Air Fashions, on 114th & Dodge, and have bee very happy with them.  After speaking to them at a bridal show, I decided to check them out.  One of the men (I think the owner) signed the pricing sheet that I received at the bridal fair (in August 2009), and even though their prices have gone up, they are still honoring my price sheet.  All their employees have been very nice, helpful & knowledgable.

We have booked at Men's Wearhouse, I was thinking of going with a smaller chain but due to our groomsmen and fathers being all over the country we thought it'd be better and easier to go with a big chain. They have been really nice and not pushy, like some other tux places we've talked to. My uncle has used Men's Wearhouse for years and for his daughter's wedding and highly recommended them.

    Great info on this post!!

We went all over, we liked Exclusive, but they didn't have the coat FI was looking for.  Funny story, we went to Mr. Tuxedo to check it out (the last stop on our after work power tux shopping spree).  As we had been to so many places we kind of knew what we wanted and we just needed pricing.

We walked in and the owner was in the store with another couple that was debating on vest colors.  After waiting for 20 min without so much as a hi/hello/be right with you FI was furious and ready to leave.  I politely asked what the cost of xyz tux was and we told him we'd be back in two days.  Had the prices not been so great, we wouldn't have come back.  We did and were helped and got a great deal.

While the whole situation really irked my taters, everything worked out alright.  I also trust them as they provide tuxes for the Deb Ball and Coronation Ball - two events with extremely high standards.  So that in mind I have every faith that everything will work out and that we just started on the wrong foot.

I got married in August and went to Mr. Tuxedo because Men's Warehouse was overpriced for the tux we wanted.  The gentleman at Mr. Tux  was helpful when asked.  I was unsure of colors so he ordered in the vest tie and shirt I wanted so I could be sure.  We had many groomsmen from out of town, they were measured elsewhere and called in their measurements,  all the tuxes fit perfectly.  The tuxes were also in pristine shape and were ready to pick-up two days earlier than scheduled.  We were very happy with the end result :)
