can you tell me more about your experience with the audubon center? how are you going to set it up? will they move things for you or is it all stationary? just trying to envision it.
Thanks!

Hi there!  Planning is going well at the audubon center.  As far as moving things, it sounds like they will move most furniture around within reason.

It sounds like you have stopped in there?  The educational displays in the lobby are all on wheels and go away for formal events.  The 2 sets of couches/seating will move where they want, and they can gather the outdoor adirondack chiars for you.

As far as room layout goes my caterer has been great assistance.  We are using the main room for dining tables, dance floor, & buffet.  Then our bar, jenis cart, gift & placecard tables, and cocktail tables are all going in the area directly outside the main room.  Weather permitting were hoping to have a oraring fire outside and that be the primary location for the cocktails.

Lemme know if thats the info you wanted!

also i had no idea you could do a jenis' cart. you are blowing my mind right now girl.

Argh at old logins automatically logging in :)

We went with Metro Cuisine, they are on the short list of caterers that are allowed in the facility.  Our other options were City BBQ, Camerion Mitchell, Zuppa, and LA Catering.

We picked Metro for a couple reasons, and they also happened to meet our strict budget.  I have been really happy with our coordinator and our tasting was delicious.  Cameron Mitchell was just too expensive, and Zuppa took FOREVER to respond.

We have fall too, October 1.  I am really looking forward to how fall should look in the park.  Were having a cream and brown wedding, and the wild gasses should be perfect.  If you make up your mind, i would suggest booking early.  We booked in late october and had the choice of only 2 weekends in Sept or October.

Also, if you want a jenis cart, dont tell them i told you about it.  Wink  Its something someone accidentally said was allowed and I dont know if they are a big fan of the whole idea.
