Just wanted to contribute some reviews since I silently used this board for months while planning.Starting with the best...1. BAND: Groovy 7- absolutely perfect, everyone was on the dance floor, young and old. BOOK THEM! (A+2. FLORIST: Lisa Smith of Petals and Parties-she was extremely helpful with everything and practically a coordinator on the wedding day. Bouquets and arrangements were gorgeous and well-placed, and I gave her a lot of freedom. (A+)3. CEREMONY MUSIC: Music by Greg and Lauren Miller (string trio)- Greg arranged my very specific and unusual music choices flawlessly. I was amazed! (A+)4. CHURCH: First Methodist of Covington-easy, inexpensive, and hands off. They gave me the keys, so my vendors were grateful for the early/easy access. It was perfect for me since I wanted ceremony music that was nontraditional. (A)5. RECEPTION: Tchefuncta CC- They had me worried since I hadn't heard any reviews, and they weren't super accomodating. Everything was beautiful and classy though, and everyone told me the food was great. I haven't seen anything nicer on the northshore that fits 200 guests comfortably. (A-)6. CHAIR COVERS: Elegant Linens, Hammond/Kenner- They were recommended by Tchefuncta, but I wasn't very impressed. I guess you get what you pay for, $4 per cover including set up. They looked nice on the wedding day, but they weren't the best quality. (B-)7. PHOTOGRAPHER: Photography by Christy (Kotter)- My one regret. Don't use her. She barely edited the pics (visible lawn chairs and gutters that could have been easily cropped out). There were shadows across our faces for all the pre-ceremony pics with my bridesmaids and parents, she picked bad spots at the church, and she lacked direction. There were very few pics that I did not have to tell/ask her to take. (D)
