Bridesmaids accessories

Would it be strange if my bridesmaids wore blushers? I would love to wear one but they just don't work with my face or dress! They would be black mesh, with a black flower and black feathers. I think it would be cute, especially with the dresses but wanna get the opinion of my fellow lovely brides! xo

I would honestly think it was a bit strange if I went to a wedding, and several women who were not the bride were wearing veils. Now, I know you are just talking about blushers, not full veils, but it still strikes me as a bit odd. I would also make sure all of your BMs are okay with doing this. You say blushers don't work with your face, so some of your BMs may feel the same way. In addition, since this is not likely something any of your BMs own or will ever wear again, it would be correct etiquette for you to pay for it.

You want them in birdcages or blushers? I could handle a little bit of black, but not with black feathers and flowers on a birdcage. Certainly no to a black blusher. That would be like the Mob's funeral. Their heads should not be more dressed than your head, IMO.

Could you get them a cute black hair piece instead (this would be on your dime.) You can get some with mesh/flowers/feathers.

I actually love the idea of Bridesmaids in these, but not all black (that is very funeralish- unless you've got a goth vibe going on)! It's very retro and I've seen it done before- looks great. I agree that they shouldn't have to shoulder the cost though.
