Newbie (to the MD board that is)

Hello all! Sorry in advance if this question has been answered already but is anyone buying their cake from a grocery store.

I hear a lot about "Publix" but that's a downsouth store. :)

Thanks!

My SIL bought hers from a grocery store up in MI.  I know that isn't much help but it turned out great!

I know a lot of local stores that have great bakeries.  We were actually just talking about it at work the other day.  Here are a few:

    Giant
    Costco
    BJs
Santoni's (not a chain, in Reisterstown and delicious!)

I've read mixed reviews on Costco, but I'll give them a try because their muffins and cookies are good...plus we are members!

Santoni's...I'll have to plan a visit during my lunch hour. I work close to Reisterstown.

    Thanks a bunch!

You're welcome.  I would HIGHLY recommend Santoni's for everything.  My sister got my shower cake there - it was amazing (and I'm not a cake person).

    Ditto on Santoni's!!!!

I did taste some of the flavors as a possibility from Santoni's and they were so good! But I ended up going with someone else.
You could also try Graul's. I also tried some flavors there and they were also very good. They have a few stores in the area, Ruxton and in the Towson area.

Thanks again for the suggstions. I hope their cakes can be designed differently. These are '80s cakes! lol

Anywho, I have plenty of time to find a cake, just wanted to see what's out there.
