Hi Everyone!

Just want to introduce myself! I'm from Brantford, Ontario, getting married January 7th 2012 at the Ancaster Mill. 

I still have TONS of planning to do -- still no DJ, florist, photographer, invites, wedding party attire, registry, or decorations -- eek!!

FI and I got engaged December 2010. I had been going to school in Chicago, just graduated, moved back to ON, and started planning in May. 

We sorted out the venue, and I bought my dress, now I need to seriously start booking other vendors. I'd appreciate any suggestions, I'm sure I'll need some help along the way!

    Hello, congrats and welcome!!!  You have time for everything, so don't worry, and we are here to help!  There are lots of brides from east of the city with vendor reviews, and you can check out the general Canada board for a few girls not from the GTA as well!  Check out my wedding planning bio under "vendors" - many are willing to travel.

    A friend of mine had her wedding there, and she told me that the event planner at the Ancaster Mill planned everything with exception to the bridal party wear and registry.  Have you checked with him/her?

    Hello & Welcome!

    I'm having my rehersal dinner at the Ancaster Mill.  Great venue!

    Have you asked them for vendor recommendations?  I was recently talking to someone whose neice got married there and they said the venue itself was a great resource for them when searching for vendors.

    Thanks everyone! Yes the lady at the Ancaster Mill has been very helpful so far! She said she would be mailing me a packet with info on vendor recommendations, but things got delayed because of the mail strike (boo). Hopefully I'll get it soon.
