  • We are having our reception in the ballroom of a hotel so we are getting the presidential suite for free for the night.

We'll be staying in one of the hotels we blocked for guests. By booking 15 or more rooms, we are able to stay in their best suite for free!

  • At the hotel blocked for our guests
  • Yes, we have a suite at the hotel where our out-of-town guests are staying. I'll be there the night before, and the girls and I will be getting ready there that morning.

  • Our reception venue is giving us our wedding night free in the 1970's themed Presidential Suite. Presidential as in President Jimmy Carter. Since it is his hometown and seriously a block or so down from his home. Its just like a 6 room inn its got like themed rooms one each from the 30's 40's 50's 60's 70's and 80's. The furniture and stuff in each is from that time period. Ours has a huge canopy bed.

  • We are staying in the King Deluxe Suite at the hotel where many of our guests are staying.  I don't think we get it for free unless 20 rooms are filled with our guests, but we get a discount regardless.

  • We're staying at the hotel where our OOT guests will be. FI's aunt has graciously offered us our hotel room as a wedding gift. I booked the night before the wedding as well so that I can have all my stuff there, ready to go on the day of the wedding.

  • Krystle that sounds pretty cool.

We are driving about two hours away I think, not quite sure. We are staying in some cabins south of us for a few days after the wedding since we really cant go anywhere big due to my schooling. FI has it all planned out and I really dont know a lot at this point, he is being very secretive.
  • The hotel with our guests!
    for siggy
  • We are also staying at the hotel where we are getting married.  We get a free night with the wedding package.  IDK if other guests are staying there too since the hotel is $200/night.

We'll be at the same hotel as our guests which is where the whole wedding will take place. We have a free room included but as a gift to us, my FI upgraded to a huge suite overlooking the ocean with a fireplace. The girls and I will have a light lunch and finish getting ready in there and then the hotel will come in and make up the room again for our wedding night!

  • I thought that we would just go back to our house, but FI really wants to get a fancey hotel room, I'm caving on that one since it seems important to him.
  • No we need to get on this...I have been researching but haven't booked anywhere yet. I'll probably get this decided sometime this week. I do know though, that we will not be staying at the same hotels where I have blocked rooms for guests...for a couple reasons: 1. I want more privacy 2. The hotels where I have blocked rooms either didn't have suites big enough for 6 girls to sleep in the night before and get ready the day of without feeling super cramped or they were not per friendly. EXTREMELY important to us since our dog is like our kid and he will be a part of the wedding...also we don't want to leave him alone in the house all night unsupervised. So the search for a nice/not ghetto suite that is pet friendly in the oc continues!

  • Our ceremony/reception venue is a resort. So, we will be staying there as well as our guests.

  • Our venue is a 10 acre private estate, and there is a 4bedroom, 3bath cottage on site was "granny's house" when the estate was only used by the family that will serve as both the bridal party "gettin ready" suite and the honeymoon suite! Indoor pool, jacuzzi, huge kitchen for late night snacks, and a gorgeous view of the intercoastal! Super excited!
  • We'll be staying at the B&B where our reception is.

  • We actually are staying home.  We're only like 10 minutes away from the venue and it seems silly to spend the extra money on a hotel for our wedding night...when we're going to be gone for the next week anyway.  It gives us one extra night with our furbabies too.  I do want to make it special and will probably get a bottle of champagne and have breakfast the next morning purchased beforehand, etc.

  • Our venue is associated with the hotel where our block is and we get the Honeymoon suite for free, so we will be staying there with our guests!
  • The hotel adjoining our venue is comping our room for the night.

  • There's a beautiful hotel within Saratoga Spa State park (the park that our venue is also in).  It's literally a 2 sec drive down the road from our venue.  FI and I (as well as his parents, sister, and my mom) will be staying at that hotel Thurs night and Fri night (our wedding is on Fri).  We have a "porch suite" booked, which has a porch balcony attached to the suite.  That room will also double as the bridal suite...aka getting ready room for me and my BMs.

FI and I are staying together the night before the wedding, we're not traditional about not seeing each other until the walk down the aisle. We're also doing a first look.  That being said, he'll be getting ready with his GM in his parents' room and not see me from the time we get up that morning until the first look.

Some of our wedding guests are staying at that hotel as well, but most guests are staying at a less expensive hotel a few miles away.

  • Going home! The venue is about 15 minutes from our house. We are doing a honeymoon yet as we are saving up for Europe.

  • We will also be staying at the hotel where we have booked a block of rooms.  My BMs and I will stay there in a room the night before separate from my FI who will be staying there in a room with his brother.  We will get a bigger suite comped for the wedding night.
