WTF, Postal Service...another RSVP rant

Well, as I've started chasing after people whose RSVPs I didn't receive by my deadline (which was Friday), and some of my guests are telling me that they put theirs in the mail weeks ago. So...what the heck? How many more of my missing cards are lost in the mailbox black hole? Super annoying!

Anyone else having this problem?

I haven't made calls yet about missing responses but I have the problem of people not getting the original invitation. I'm starting to get nervous!!

My RSVP date isn't until the 22 but so far we've gotten about 70% back. We've one person tell us he mailed it a week ago, it never showed up and then he said he didn't end up mailing it. He said he mailed it again, it's still not here. I think he's just lazy.

I haven't started tracking down RSVPs yet but like PP I have had a problem with people never receiving the original invitation even though I personally took every invitation to the post office myself and watched each one get postmarked. Ugh. Very frustrating and frankly, embarrassing.

This makes me worried! I hope all the invites were delivered and no rsvps get lost. I think we have less than 15 left to come in, and still 11 days until the deadline.

There are always going to be quirks with the USPS; however, I also wouldn't put it past people to say they mailed it in, when really they just forgot. BTW, I'm referring to my own guest list, not yours

I hate the USPS! I have received 3 invites that came back to me....2 of them that came back over 2 weeks after i mailed it...and the other almost 4 weeks. WTH! I ended up resending the invites but they got theirs soooo late so it looks really bad. I'm pissed off.

Also one of my BM's said she mailed her RSVP a long time ago when she got her invite. She thinks her postman may have just never taken the card. Seriously USPS..you suck!

I'm having some issues too. I was at FI's friend's place last night for dinner and his wife said she mailed her RSVP 2 weeks ago. I have yet to receive it. GAH! I just hope all the invitations made it to where they were going.

I have 7 people (at least) that I KNOW I sent invites too that say they've never gotten them. At least 6 out of the 7 groups say they can still make it!

I have had 4 couples tell me they never received their invite. One actually called me 3 weeks after I sent them out, which she knew i was sending them out early since everyone has to travel...so i resent them. Also I had 3 groups say they sent them, but 2 of these I never got (1 came in 2 days after we called them). I feel you and understand the frustration. I'm just surprised there weren't more that went missing.

Really? USPS hasn't failed me yet! Well, maybe except the time when I forgot to write in the apartment number...
Anyway, I sent out 81 invitations and I'm about 99% sure they all got to their destinations. The one person that told me they never got it... I don't believe for one second lol. I sent my invitations out July 31st and I would've definitely gotten it back by now, plus she knows the deal, she could've called to check if she was concerned.
