Before I start this post, who is the FAB knottie that DIY crystallized her wedding shoes? I need to speak to you b/c I think i'm headed in that very direction.

I wanted to buy some Louboutins for my wedding. The thought of having a red sole on my foot and in my pics just consumed me and made me a happy girl. I totally forgot that my consultant at Kleinfields told me DO NOT go over 2.5inches b/c I am already tall and it will not look good if the shoe is too high. So there ya go...no Louboutins for my wedding but perhaps for my bridal shower where height issues won't be a problem.

Le sigh....ok so i want t buy a pair of ivory heels that I can put a fab broach on and also stud the heels with turquoise crystals as my something blue. What do you think of these?

I kind of like #3 b/c i can dye them ivory and they already have a brooch on them.

I really like the scalloped edge on number 2. And then you can add your own brooch without having to remove anything. But my next choice would be 3.

I vote for #3 and I think they will come closest to your inspiration after you finish **blinging** them out . A pair of red-soled sling-backs are a must for my wedding

Okay, I'm back.

I actually got the idea to do it on TPF (the purse forum). They have 2 or 3 threads dedicated to girls who "strass" their shoes with crystals or glitter. I can't afford Loubutins so I went and purchased some purple satin heels to use as my base. I decided to do the whole shoe instead of just the heel but believe me, it takes time.

As an FYI, Michaels was having a sale on the sticky rhinestone jewel thingy last night when I went there. If you are looking to add some blue to your shoes, they had some.

I did peel and stick for my shoes since the surface allowed for it...but if you do the heels, hot glue works better, you can get a tiny glue gun for under 10 dollars

oh and those Louboutins are so sexy...but what Louboutins aren't sexy...I love them.
