The CSUF Alumni House

Has anybody used the Alumni House at Cal State Fullerton?  I'm looking into using it for my reception. If you have or or thinking about it, what vendors are you bringing it and hoe much are you ending up spending? Id really appreciate your input!

I'm having my wedding/ reception there in July. We're using Melrose Catering (they're on their list) and spending about $5700 for our food/ rentals for approx. 160 people. That's not including our rental fee, which was about $900 (from 3pm-midnight) on a Friday night. The $900 includes the insurance and security that they require.

Fi and I are having our ceremony & reception there in March on a friday night.  Fi is a CSUF alumn, so he got the discount rental rate.  We're using Grace Catering, for a chinese buffet.  The food is costing about $4200 for 100 people.  We also had to rent tables & chairs, which is costing another $500.  We're also purchasing our own alcohol, but hiring a bartender, which is another $200.  Our budget was 10k, and we're definitely within our budget with everything.   I love the place - i can't wait for the big day to see all the details come to life!

We also had our wedding and reception there last May.  The rental was about $265 per hour, we brought in our own booze and catering.  We used 24 Carrots and paid much more for catering and rentals than the other posters, but food was our priority.  We hung paper lanterns along the strings of lights on the patio and it looked beautiful.
