Does FI know what your dress looks like??

Just curious how your FI's feel about seeing your dress. Mine, personally, runs in the opposite direction, literally, every time I talk about it! I am the kind of person who gives gifts before the actual holiday, so it's really difficult for me to keep this secret... but I know seeing his face will make it worth it all! Please share!

Nope he has no idea. And he doesn't want to know anything about it. It's just so hard not being able to share any details with him about it since I talk with him about everything. But only 6 more months of keeping it a secret!

No and he finds it quite funny that I don't want him to know. We are not having a very traditional so the fact tha this is the one tradition I am keeping amuses him.

He only knows that it's strapless with red in it, and that's bc his sister was telling his mom about it and he overheard. Anytime I show anyone he leaves the room, he doesn't want to know anything about. He's excited to see it on our wedding day. He doesn't even want to see my shoes!

I don't want FI to see it. I don't think he has, unless he stumbled upon pics on my computer when he was installing stuff. And if he did, there are a couple different dresses on there, and he has a bad memory lol.

I had to make a promise whenever I show people a pic of it on my phone, and he's around, I have to loudly sh"out "I AM SHOWING X MY WEDDING DRESS ON MY PHONE!" so he doesn't accidentally come over and glance at it. It's always funny because whoever I'm showing the dress to always jumps about four feet in the air.

He doesn't want to see my shoes either! Ahh I hate when people start describing why they like it and he's standing right there. They are oblivious.

I'm wearing a very non-traditional dress (emerald green), and he definitely knows and approves. I'm trying to keep as many guests in the dark about the color as possible, so people will be a little surprised. But other than that I'm not too worried about the surprise angle.

we're having a LOT of fun keeping the dress a 'secret'. haha FI and I agreed that he won't see it til that day (even though he dosent know that he saw a photo of it about 4 months before i chose/bought it!!) he plugs his ears whenever i'm around someone who asks and i show them a well-hidden photo on my phone. he's always funny and good natured about leaving the room when the subject comes up.

what he knows about it:

its not foo-fooey (no feathers, etc)
it doesnt have a huge skirt- not a ballgown
its strapless
its sparkly
it's ivory. i was able to show him the shawl that came with it so he can pick guys shirts (and a sneak peek of a TINY bit of the beading is on the shawl)
and by an accident of me talking to someone about the train he interrupts "it has a train? hmmmm" soooo i guess he knows that now too. =P

FI has no clue what the dress looks like, the only thing he knows is that it is a white dress!! He doesn't want to know, but he does know I have white shoes (he saw them and said "oh they are shoes" which meant he liked them but not his thing)!!

This was the difficult part on Sunday, because the lady we are getting the tuxes from is ALSO doing my alterations, and we had to hide in a bedroom with my dress so FI couldn't see it!! He offered to go into the bedroom, but the lady was more comfortable with me in the bedroom and him looking at tuxes in the main area!!

Also difficult when my Mom cried when she heard the song "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman. Once FI left the room she explained that she was crying because I look like Cinderella in my dress..

I agree with PPs, it is VERY hard to keep it a secret, but FI does his best with not asking much about it, and not listening if I'm talking about it (I leave the room),all he wanted to know was the color

He has seen a picture of it, but i doubt he remembers it, that was over a year ago. But he doesnt want to see it till the day of.

He has seen the pictue of it with out me, although it was also the dress that had straps on it so the top still looks different than how he saw it. He says he cant wait to see it on me because it will look so much different than it does on the model...

My FI is super involved with everything and he wanted to give his opinion about the dress as well so I set up an appointment for just us and a BM. So he knows everything that I have Dress, Shoes, Sash.....he has been AWESOME throughout everything. However my grandmother is unaware of this because she is so traditional in her viewpoint of he shouldnt see it.
