SO's sister is getting married!

Mr.Owl's sister just called and mentioned that she and her FI have finally found a date for their intimate (9-10 people) wedding chapel nuptials. I'm very excited for her. Mr.Owl and I are hosting their reception afterwards at our place. The couple is buying food from a favorite local restaurant and we will pick it up for them. I would like to do something special for the reception like making cute cupcakes or something.

Ideas for ways to make their wedding day special?

Are they staying at a hotel the night of the wedding? What about doing something special for that? Maybe a bottle of wine, some chocolate covered strawberries. Those are just a few things that come to mind.

    missy,
nope, they are going home i guess. but i could send them with a little 'honeymoon basket' to take home. that's a great suggestion!

Or you could always decorate their bedroom at their house to make it all romantic, perhaps use some candles, flowers, etc.

Miss Owl, I think you should definitely do cupcakes or a small cake or something! It's nice to have those classic things even if it is a really intimate wedding. Also maybe you could do do a table with a bunch of photos of them, or some sort of memento that everyone could sign so they could keep it as a nice reminder? I think those are great traditions that almost work better for small weddings than larger ones!
