Need some advice Please!!

Hi Ladies,

I need some last minute advice. I have been wavering on having a candy buffet for the favors for a while now. I can borrow all of the supplies from a friend, the jars and scoops and such, but I need to buy all of the candy and bags ect. Money is getting super tight and FI really don't want to go into debt if we don't have to but in order to have some kind of favor we might need to. A friend of mine said no one really cares about favors and if it means more stress financially then skip them. Thoughts? Will no one really care about the favors? Need help! Thanks!

No one cares about favors. 100% for sure skip them if it means avoiding wedding debt.

We aren't having favors and I'm not too worried about it. We are having great food and an open bar so I don't think people will miss it. I don't think it's worth you going into debt over. I've been to weddings with candy bars and had some candy while I was there but haven't taken it with me as a favor.

I don't think you need it. Don't worry about skipping it if its not in the budget.

I'm with PPs, okay to skip, especially if it involves wedding debt.

I think that favours are a waste of time. Most people either don't take them or throw them out when they get home. I say skip them

If it is going to put you in debt I would not do the favors. In the end people are going to remember the wedding itself so I wouldn't worry about it.

Skip it. It's not worth going into debt for. We made a donation to St. Jude's in lieu of wedding favors. Could you possibly do something like that? It doesn't have to be alot.

Honestly, favors are NOT necessary. In fact, most of the time I end up either not taking one or taking it and losing it/throwing it away.

They can be nice but they are definitely NOT worth going into wedding debt for. Everyone's there for you - not your candy! :-)

We're not having favors and i'm not the least bit worrid about it. Half of it will get left behind anyway.

We didn't do any favors and everyone kept telling us how wonderful our wedding was and how much fun they had. Nobody even cared that there were no favors.

Peachy - hahahha love it!

We aren't doing favors. We are having little matchbooks, I don't really consider them favors but its something FI wanted, they were so cheap though. Other than that we aren't doing them because people will throw them away or forget them. Don't worry about it.
