It's been a rough month for my family and wedding planning has taken a back seat. But these past two days we got quite a few things done! We finally ordered our favors-a photo booth! I want to make cake pops, and one of my BMs is all about us doing them, but in case we don't, I decided to use the money I got from my bridal shower to do a photo booth. I figure it is something everyone gets a kick out of, can get funny pictures or just nice group pics (has the feature that opens up and you can take a group picture too) and we get a nice scrapbook of memories at the end of the night. Pretty excited about this one!
Finished ordering my BM gifts yesterday, and FI received his GM gifts last week.
Got the marriage license yesterday which really does make it all very real!
We finally decided to get a limo against my better judgement, and also a shuttle for our guests.
We submitted all the reception music to the DJ last night at literally the last possible hour (opps!) and I paid off the photographer and florist.
We set up our appointments to do our food tasting next Friday, meet with day of planner Saturday and finalize our ceremony with the Deacon Tuesday. Cake tasting is still to be determined, but a call has been made for an appointment.
Our RSVP deadline was today and out of 122 invited, 85 say yes, 16 are no's (which includes the 13 that we knew beforehand would be no's but wanted to invite anyway). 21 are making us wait! I am hoping for 100 guests max, so I'm happy to know we are on target.
My final dress fitting is any time after next Wed, so that is next to do. Some of my BM dresses do not fit-one is way too small and another HUGE, so kinda worried about that but the dress shop swears they will be in by July 6th the latest...wedding is July 14th...
Still to do...
Hair trial
Wedding programs, pick ceremony music
Seating charts once I track down missing RSVPs
Learn how to dance enough to not make a fool out of myself...
Stop biting my nails!!! Dreading the hands photographs...
Maybe have a bachlorette party...my BM tried to surprise me with a party last week but I had to cancel our planned dinner last minute due to family emergency. Sounds like she orgainzed quite a big party and I am so sorry I missed it. But given the circumstances, I know I would not have had a good time, so hopefully I'll be able to get together with some good friends and toast to the future!
Re: Getting down to the wire...a couple of checks!
I usually have short nails as well (combitation of biting them and just not taking good care of them). In the last few weeks they have gotten a lot stronger and longer. I began taking a multi-vitamin, which I think is helping. I also began using a base/top coat clear nail polish. I find that helps protect them and keeps me from biting them. I also bought a hand and nail cream at the drugstore for £1. I keep it in my purse and use it 2-3 times a day. I'm not sure which of these things have helped my nails or if they all have, but they are definitely much healthier now.
