First Dance Song Ideas...

Hi! I was hoping I could get some help in first dance song ideas. My fiance and I are currently thinking of It's your love by Tim McGraw and Fath Hill. Thing is, neither one of us are big on country at all, just think the song is really nice. We really like newer bands and we were wondering if anyone can think of any rock/punk band songs that we could use?? Also, I'd love to hear what you are all thinking for your first dance songs! Thanks so much!

If you want something that's punk rocky, how about "Oh, It Is Love" by Hello Goodbye. It starts off slow and gets fun towards the end. We're using it as our cake cutting song. It has a little bit of a hawaiian/ukulele vibe to it as well.

We are planning on using "I don't want to set the world on fire" by the Ink Spots. It may not be punk, but the nerdy side in us loves the reference to Fallout 3. But if you are looking for something more rock based "Du Hast" by Rammstein.

Please do not assume the traslation of du hast is you hate. It is techinical a dual meaning but when looking at the song entirely it is really a play on marriage vows in which it traslates out to you have

A new artist that is in the alternative/punk genre is Rosie Vanier. She toured with Cyndi Lauper in the UK. She has a really upbeat and fun song called "Lover" that you can dance a Swing or Merengue to. Another great song is Lovesong by the Cure. Adele sings a new version of it which is more sultry.
