there are some free save the dates postcards and calendar cards on weddingchicks.

let me give you the links here.
postcards (definitely art Nouveau though, not art deco):

    hope these help!  :D

(FYI art deco wasn't really popular into the 1940s)

  • If I were to do my STDs over again I would do 1 of 2 things.

Option 1: Hit up local vintage/retro shops and buy a bunch of vintage art deco inspired postcards. They are usually very cheap and you have so many different ones to choose from. Some will have never even been used. If they already have writing on them (they are usually faded) simply write over them in heavy black sharpie or print your message out with your printer. You will easily be able to read the newest message and still be able to notice that their was a message previously written in the background. Cover the address area an art deco inspired address label to avoid any confusion with the post office.

My 2nd option would have been to custom create a magnet. Not terribly original but very practical. We did a very simple customized postcard but I have noticed that almost all of our guests have them on their refrigerators. I originally didn't think the magnets would be worth the price but now seeing all of our STDs on people's refrigerators anyway; I think it would be a good decision. You could do a very cute art deco inspired one! Art deco fonts can be found on www.dafont.com. Also, you can find good deals on magnets on www.vistaprint.com where you can upload your own design.
