Hampton Roads Venue- Indoor or out??

Hey,

  We're planning our wedding for Sept 24, 2011.  I am torn between having my wedding indoors (CAC) or outdoors.  I really would like to have it outside but I'm afraid of bad weather.  Any suggestions???

    Since this IS hampton roads with truly unpredictable weather, I'd go with the safe bet and keep it inside.  I had mine at CAC and guests can always go outdoors if the weather is nice.  There are gorgeous areas for walking around the venue, plus you get awesome outdoor shots. (PIB)

    that is a tough one! i am getting married september 2, and we decided to do ours outside because i have always wanted an outdoor wedding. we're doing ours at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. they do offer a rain site (you have to pay for it though, wether you use it or not!), but our reception will be on the Spirit of Norfolk, so if it rains, I will A) CRY, and B) just move everyone inside the ship :)

    but i have seen pics from the CAC and they are BEAUTIFUL! you really can't go wrong either way :)

    Also doing ours at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens but with the rain location (for ceremony).  It's only $250 so I thought it was well worth it.

    I just don't have the nerves to do an outdoor reception in September.  Ours is 9/10/11 and we're having it indoors.  The only place I'd consider is the Hermitage because it's GORGEOUS but I personally just couldn't handle worrying that much about the weather.  As it is I'll worry about the ceremony but we have a backup.

    The CAC was my second choice but we'd just been to a wedding there so FI veto'ed it.  I'd pick that one in a heartbeat, and like sunflower said you can get great outdoor shots there.
