Tipping venue?

I had never even thought about how to tip our reception venue until I saw a post earlier today. Our reception venue is catering the food, and they're providing the servers and bartenders. I saw somewhere about tipping 15%, but our bill comes to around $6,000 for the food and that's an extra $900 I hadn't thought about. I plan to tip the twp bartenders, but I don't know how to go about tipping for anyone else. My contract does state that the $1,000 "administrative fee" is not intended to be a tip (what even is an administrative fee anyway?)

    Your contract doesn't include gratuity or tip listed??  That would suck.  I would double check your contract, then touch base with the venue to confirm this it's not included.  I don't know what administrative fee is, but I such wouldn't be tipping the coordinator!

    I would tip the bartenders and the venue coordinator. It doesn't have to be 20 percent. I would think 100 each should be more than sufficient.

    We have a service fee but I asked and come to find out that is the tip for the caterer/bartenders, etc. it is 20 of our bill which is a little ridiculous. I would most definitely ask what it is.

    Our put a tip on everything, including the room. I would ask, just to make sure it is not for odds and ends and they are not hoping for a big tip later.

    our contract states an additional 20% of food + drinks must be paid for gratuity the day-of...i'm pretty sure this includes the bar so I'm going to make sure the bartenders don't leave out a tip jar (i think it looks tacky).

    never heard of an administrative fee...but my venue doesn't provide coordinating services.

    Mine has a service fee. But i am planning on giving a tip to the bartenders and the coordinator.
