ceremony ideas

We haev picked our reception hall but it doesn't seem to be a really good place for a ceremony. We live in Falmouth an we were loooking for somewhere local and nice but not too expensive. We tried Nobska but they won't let you set up chairs which isn't really that big of a deal. But mainly they only have 3 parking spaces there. They recommend renting a trolley but it's so expensive.Any ideas ona nice outdoor location?

Wheres the reception going to be?  do you want a chapel, beach, dock area?

there is grace chapel off central avenue... really sweet

the patio area behind Saint Barnabus Church,

The belltower off mill in woods hole..

Wood neck beach on the back side...

    Goodwill park out front...

    coonamessett farm...

Crooked pond Farm ( nancy Chute)

Possibly the sunken garden area at Highfield Hall ( supposed to be landscaped this spring..)

    Waquoit estuary

    ..... on and on....

The reception is going to be at pals hall.We were actually trying to find infromation on good will park,we arn't interested in a church wedding we wanna do soemthing nice out doors  possible by the water or maybe another hall just for the ceremony. It's hard because I've been researching online and can't find much  in this area.

You probably wont find Good will park on line but it would be a great choice.  right around the corner and beautiful as can be.  It is a public park so just go in there and check it out when you come down.
There is also a pretty dock at the Cape wind motel.. also very close.    . You might think about that too. If guests are out of towners that would be a good spot too... nice cottagey spot to have everybody stay and not very expensive... waterfront picnic area... sweet spot!!!

yea if we did good will park we probably have to just figure out who we would call or have to get a hold of  to make that happen. Thanks for the ideas,we are really having trouble with this.Finding a ceremony spot is really hard especiallly in Falmouth.Their are a bunch of nice places but they are in Orleans which is over an hour away. Our reception spot is literaly around the corner so closer would be ideal.

I'm not sure if you are interested in a beach wedding. But..this link http://www.falmouthchamber.com/documents/WeddingPlanner.pdf is from the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce and has listings of all sorts of options for wedding ceremonies. They have a whole chart that includes all of the Falmouth public spaces that you can have a special event permit for (including Goodwill Park), the department to contact, the number of people that the space can accommodate, the hours you can have the event, etc. Not sure if you have seen it already, but I found it to be very helpful when I was thinking about going this route for my wedding!

Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich...reasonably priced for ceremony. We're having both ceremony and reception there. It's gorgeous, both inside and outside locations....quite a few to choose from.
