Photo Back Drop (PIP)

Hi ladies! The photo area will be mainly a back drop with props etc. And I'm trying to figure out what color backdrop we should go with. I've only seen the photographer work with a white or black backdrop.

But yesterday she messaged the below pic to me and I wanted to know your thoughts. Would this dark gray back drop be fine or odd. It will be set up in a foyer and the foyer is well lit so you will be able to tell its not black. I've basically seen black back drops not gray so it through me off.*Our colors are black, ivory and champagne. My other thought was does it matter that it differs from our wedding scheme.

  • What colors are your BM dresses? If they're black, you might like gray so that they don't blend into the background. I think gray could be nice either way though! Our photo backdrop is silver and shiny! Our photographer calls it her sparkle booth! :)

  • I like the gray a lot, I think it has way more to offer in terms of lighting and shadows than just black or white.  It also provides a very nice contrast against the bride's white dress, without swallowing anyone who's wearing black :)
