  I started off googling "[my venue] weddings" to see who had photographed at my venue and then looked at whose style I enjoyed.  Then I talked to them.  If they were out of my budget, they were willing to tell me the names of others they knew who might help.

  
  

  Basically, I just started stalking photography blogs.  Oh, they're addictive.

  get a good blog and tag a lot of venues and the website will get lots of hits.

  I got mine through a friend but most use the boards and word of mouth. I found the people at the bridal shows too pushy.
