    Dear Obama,
While some may say you shouldn't be President and that you're running this country into the ground, I just have to say one thing:
Thank you for your first time homebuyer tax credit!  If you hadn't done this, Steve and I probably would still be in living in an apartment right now.  Thanks to you, I have my first home, and I'm about to be putting over $8,000 in my bank account this afternoon.  Seriously, awesome.  I feel so rich :)  ...And it's nice to replenish what we lost from our downpayment plus some!

    Dear Steve,
While I know we want to save as much of this credit as we can... I would really like to invest in a bigger bed ASAP.  I don't sleep very well in our full size bed and would like to finally be able to have a second guest bedroom that is actually functional.  Please let us go to The Dump and Sleep Experts this weekend to look at beds....and please let me FINALLY be able to buy that bedding I've been wanting from Macy's. You won't be sorry.  Kthanx.
-your wife who loves you, but needs more space at night.

To a certain person who will remain nameless,
I am very grouchy. Please stay away from me. I have work to do so quit asking me to come look at this and that on your computer. Why don't you try doing some work for a change!

    Dear ETrade,

Your baby commercials are my favorites, but I'm closing my brokerage account with you.   $40 service fee per quarter after your account is open for 1 year?  That is ridiculous!  Guess you have to pay for those ads somehow.

    Disgruntled Customer

    Dear Self,

I know you loved the florist you met last night, and you'd rather just work with her so you don't have to meet with anyone else...but you really should meet at least one other florist for comparison sake.  Please somehow find the time and energy to do so.

    Dear MBA Program,

Your 10 hour a day Saturday class is killing me.   Can you at least give us a lunch break?

    Dear Mariah,

If you are looking for furniture at a good price you should check out model home furniture sales. Me and a couple of friends went to one a couple of weeks ago and they scored a king size bed with headboard, matress set, and comforter set with pillows for $429.99. Here is the link to the website.

    Mariah,
If you don't mind me asking, when did you mail in your tax return?  I've heard that there is a big delay on returns for people who are trying to get the house credit.  We are planning on mailing ours in this weekend and I've heard it can take up to a month and a half to get our refund.

    Thanks,
    Me

    Dear Self,
I know you're enjoying being down 15 lbs but it's time to kickstart back up and get your ass on the treadmill.  You still have a lot of weight to lose...don't get lazy!

    Dear Knotties,
I'm sad that this bored has really died down b/c of the crappy new format.  It'd be so much better even if it were like the Nest boards.

    Steph,
I was looking at your house blog and noticed your bedroom furniture is the same we have saved for our guest bedroom :-)
Your house looks beautiful! I love all those big windows you have in the bedroom and your kitchen is absolutely stunning!

    Mariah,

I advise you to get there early because lines form in front of the door before the 10:00am start time. At some of their sales they also offer delivery for only $50. They take cash and some sales will take debit/credit cards. You can also score some good decor items, last time they had a set of nice lamps for only $40 a pair.

    Dear body,
You were doing so well responding to workouts and healthy food until Sunday.  Sure there was unhealthy food at the party, but you didn't eat enough to negate all of last week's progress.  So stop being a pain and show me some better numbers on the scale!

    Dear weather gods,

Please be kind on Thursday.  It's bad enough I can't leave work as early as I would have liked to head down to San Antonio, but if there's nasty weather it's going to make the trip (and hitting rush-hour in Austin) so much more annoying.

    Dear Maxine(my car)
I hope that the shop wasn't lying in that I should have you back by the end of the week. I have missed you and it has been a long 2 1/2 months!

Dear people who have commented on the invites,
I appreciate it and those invites were a lot of work so I am glad that you love them.

    Dear self,
You need to do a planning bio so you can organize your thoughts.  Plus other ppl have them and they are fun.
    -Me

    Dear tnickel,
I looked at your bio - where did you find the Natalia dress?  I saw that dress online like 6 months ago and fell in love, but could not find a dress shop in dfw that carried it.  Oh - and Wreck 'Em Tech.  :P

    Dear Serlace,
I found the dress at Lasting Bridal in Addison but I ordered it through Pearl's Place because it was cheaper. They were really nice there and the only reason why I didn't order through there was the price. And yes, Wreck em!!

    Marlene,
Thanks for the house compliments!  That's funny about the bedroom furniture, I see it on TV quite often, so it must be a popular set.

    Snow,
Feel free to snow as much as you want on top of my house and my commute route (so as not to interfere with Terriniski's travel plans) so that I don't have to go to work on Thursday.

    Dear Snow,
Please help out Steph by canceling her work and Terriniski so that she can travel.  Please just give me a delayed start so that I still get Monday off.

A Knottie hoping we can all get what we want  :-)
  • edited December 2011

    Dear Julie and Steph,
If it snows badly enough here and in DC to cancel my meetings, then I can take off work a lot earlier (which was the original plan until those meetings got scheduled), and then I don't care if it takes 10 hours to get to San Antonio.  :)  It's gotta be all or nothing for me, so I'll hope for "all" so that you two can get your wishes as well!
    Wishing for a snowy Thursday!

    Dear Dallas Girls,
You can have the snow, I'm tired of it. I don't know what I'll do if I ever have to move north of the Mason-Dixon line. But then again, I wouldn't care if it snowed for the next week, as long as it doesn't delay my coming home on the 21st.

On the day of your wedding, my parents will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.  It seems to be a very lucky day

    Julie,
That's cool, it must be lucky! It's also my matron of honor's birthday and a friend's husband's birthday. It's a good day!
