Hi Everyone, I am a recent bride of Pennsylvania and found the Knot boards to be extremely heplful. My sister just got engaged, she is from the Charlotte/Kannapolis area and doesn't know where to begin. I am hoping that you can help me help her. She is a student and young mother, so we are looking for great/cheap options for ceremony/reception venues, photographers, DJ, etc. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

    As a side note, they would liek to get married outside in a park/garden setting.

    Check out www.ncbridebio.com.  A lot of NC knotties post positive vendor recommendations on that site.  

    One of the cheapest park/garden options I can think of would be a city park.  I'm not in Charlotte but there are a LOT of Charlotte folks on here who can help you find venues and vendors down there.  Good luck, and bless you for being such a helpful sister!!
