Stupid question about how I should dress for an event

I am going to "A Taste of Mississippi" tomorrow night. It's a charity event where you taste foods from different restaurants around the area, have drinks, and also listen to live music. It's outside at night. Here is how people dressed last year. How would YOU dress? MS weather is 55 degrees at night.

    Cute jeans dressy top?

    I'd say a casual dress but 55 sounds a bit cold for one of those.

    I LOVE these kind of events. One piece of advice, I would either skip a purse if you can or wear one that can be held over your shoulder because you are definitely going to want your hands free for drinks and all the plates of yummy tasting goodness you will be juggling!

    OH that sounds like fun!  I agree with the jeans, but not heels.  My feet would kill me!!

    May I ask where in MS you live?  I grew up in the Tupelo area.
