Bouquet help!

My wedding is in 3 weeks and I haven't started working on my bouquet! I wanted to use fake flowers for multiple reasons but what makes it difficult for me is my colors are black, white, and gold. What flowers should I get that encompass my colors? I would go with gold but the gold flowers look more orange and yellow and black flowers seem impossible and dark at the same time. But also, would an all white bouquet looking boring and subdued because my dress is white? Yikes! Any ideas?

Re: Bouquet help!

  • I think a lot of brides do white bouquets and they look nice. You could tie in your colors via the stem wrap (e.g. gold fabric wrap) rather than in the flowers.

  • I think a white bouquet is totally fine. Maybe you could have a mostly white bouquet accented with a few gold flowers? You could also find different flowers in white to make the bouquet more interesting. HTH!

  • All white bouquet is traditional. It's a new thing to add color into your bouquet. So, yes, all-white is fine.

All white bouquets are traditional and very common. But personally, I don't like them because they do blend in with the dress and for my taste it's a little boring. However if you decide to go this route, wrapping the stem in gold and black would look great and give it a nice pop against your dress. If you still want to have some color, you can still have a black and white bouquet using black calla lilies! I think they're calla lilies, anyone correct me if I got the name wrong. I've seen a few bouquets use this and I think they look quite nice. Gold in a bouqet automatically made me think of those flower arrangement fillers that are mixed in with flowers to give the whole look a twist....I'll have to find a pic once I get home so you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about. That in an all white bouquet, or even black and white, would look gorgeous IMO!
  • I thought the same thing that Nati thought about the gold floral twists.  It would add dimension to the bouquet.

Also, I say an all white bouquet is traditional and totally ok!

That could be your black and white and you could do gold ribbon wrapped around the bottom.

  • My bouquet is pretty much all white! Because my dress looks more soft and flowy than showstopping, the white goes with it really well

Oh yeah, anemones would be great too! Especially if you're leaning more towards an all white bouquet with a small pop.

I second Schatzi, have you googled bouquets in your colors?? There's so many gorgeous options out there!!
