Veil Help Please!

Background:  I have a tea-letngth lace dress in ivory.  I have nothing else (accessories, shoes, and actually the dress isn't made yet).

Veils:  Here are two options:

 or

with this at the base of it.  Then I can take the veil off for the reception and still have this in for a fun, cute look.

What do you think?  Which veil is better?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Veil Help Please!

  • It looks like the main difference between the two veils is whether the comb that it's mounted on goes on the side of your head or in the back.  If that's the case, you might want to think about which comb position would work best with your hairstyle.

Personally, I prefer a birdcage veil positioned at the side of the head -- that's how mine is, anyway :)  I think this positioning would work with most hairstyles, while the back-mounted one may not.

That fascinator is really pretty, by the way -- great vintage look with the pearls, and if you remove the veil for the reception, you'll still have a bit of netting :)

  • I have no idea what I am doing with my hair.  I am not very particular and don't really care that much.

I love the fascinator because it does have the netting so it still feels bridal!
  • Personally I think the first veil is more pretty and it looks like it was made out of better material. Plus it is cheaper. The birdcage veil that I may be buying is in my bio if you want to look at that seller too. I think you can position the comb however you want.
