<div>Maybe a nice pasta dish with roasted veggies? We are doing something like that for our vegetarians in our stations.  Have salad as well as a starter.  I don't know how guests would feel getting mac n' cheese at a wedding...well.. i guess it depends on how formal/what not but still, I'd think it's strange (for the record i LOVE me some mac n cheese). </div><div>
</div><div>Ask your venue what their options are because I'm sure they've done this 100 times.  Once you have some options make sure you TASTE it.  I knew someone who had a wedding and their veggie option was a pasta dish but it was pretty much straight oil ... blech!</div>
  • Ok, so you're only doing beer and wine because most of your guests don't drink?  Perfectly fine.  Have both red and white wine as options.

As far as food goes, you should still have some sort of meat option.  Chicken is usually pretty universal, meaning it can be prepared many ways.  Ask your caterer what they recommend as far as a meat dish.

I would prefer several options.  Mac and cheese can be ok, but I would prefer some kind of potato (garlic mashed, au grautin), and I would like a vegetable medley.

There are options of breads you can give to your guests, and a salad of some sort is always nice.

  • Do you have a bar? I mean if you are paying for a bartender and bar service, it shouldn't cost anything extra to have other drink options. Is it cash or host bar?
If you're just doing wine/beer, def offer red and white wine.

As for food... no seafood or pork still leaves a lot of options. A lot of chicken dishes can be served as a meatless option as well. There are so many lovely vegetarian meals now; even a nice roasted veggie lasagna would be nice.

  • Eggplant Parmesean is usually popular with a lot people, if you want something different that is very flavorful you could ask if your venue/caterer makes a vegetable tagine as well.
Are you set on doing plated meals? A lot of caterers and venues I've talked to offer stations, you could have a pasta station, mashed potato station, macaroni & cheese station, grilled cheese station (a personal favorite) & lots of others, and people decide what they want to add- and you could have meat options or they could keep it all veggies.
I definetly agree with PP, you need to offer some kind of meat.
  • We are offering some type of chicken don't know yet.someone did suggest vegetable strudel for the vegeterians.we will offer a salad in additional to what the caterer will come up with.I don't think we will do drinks by consumption either although we may add a signature drink. We will offer tea;water;sodas.the caterer been working on the menu for a month now.
