Floral Alternatives

Hi all,

A friend of mine is having a large wedding and is having trouble finding a florist within her budget.  I am trying to help her think of alternatives to floral arrangements on all 25-30 of her tables.  If you know of a good florist in the NW Chicago area who can cover a wedding for under $3000 or if you have any good ideas for alternatives to floral arrangements on tables, please respond.

Thanks!!

Try Kristen from Kio Kreations, I am sure she will try to work within that budget.

She is very talented, and has a great website to view all of her work.

It sounds like you are looking for possible centerpiece alternatives?? If so, depending on the style of wedding, there are a variety of options.

You can do candles (candles4less.com), lamps, stacks of vintage books, balloons... collect a variety of different glasses/vases and do floating candles...

and when all else fails, google centerpiece ideas and see what catches your eye!

Project wedding is a great source for centerpiece inspiration. I think candles are a great alternative to flowers and add a really nice effect to the reception.

Depends on the season, but I always think that fresh fruit in some sort of glass container looks neat.  Like lemons or oranges, apples etc.

Im using Kristen from Kio Kreations.  I am anticipating between 25-28 tables & our total flower budget (including personal flowers) is about 2100.  We're doing 1/2 submerged centerpieces. I should have a breakdown in my bio for more ideas if you want them

I am not a huge flower person.  We have pretty much no budget but i cant get myself to pay thousands of dollars for something that you cant keep forever without paying even more to perserve it.  I am going through a lady named Theresa and she carves wooden roses and paints them any color you want.  They look so real.  Her facebook page is Radiantroses4u.  She sent me a sample and i loved it.  She can do anything you want and she even does center pieces that cost practically nothing.

    hope this helps!

I looked into Kio Kreations and she was booked for my date and recommended me to Vale of Enna - not a storefront, so her prices are very reasonable.

I have owned my own floral shop in the past, but now do it out of my home.  I have some great ideas and would love to meet with you.  We could definately keep it under $3,000.00  I live in Bloomington Illinois and would be more than willing to travel and take care of your bride.  I guarantee my flowers to be the freshest available.
Please contact me and i would be happy to assist.

    Thank You,
    Marci
