Hello ladies,
This is NOT honeymoon related. I just want advice for a trip FI and I are taking in a month to los angeles.
We're going to be there for four whole days. Two will be at the theme parks, and we have two for site-seeing.
We'll be staying at the Custom hotel near LAX. We'll have a rental car, but we're looking for activities that are inexpensive.
We've never been to california, so I'm trying to get an understanding of what the best sites are and how to plan our itinerary. We don't mind being silly tourists, so feel free to direct us to the best tourist sites.
I was thinking one day for hollywood/los angeles type attractions and one day for the beach/venice/santa monica.
So please help me with the following:
1. What are the must-see sites? What could I reasonably do in a day?
2. What's the best beach? We don't plan on spending all day at the beach, but would like to maybe swim a little. We'd also like to see Venice beach and Santa Monica. Is that an all-day type of thing?
3. What's parking like? Should we expect to pay a ton for parking everywhere we go?
4. Any places just to drive around? Malibu? Beverly Hills?
5. We're catholic. Do you recommend any nice catholic churches?
6. Any good place for a picnic?
7. Cool photo op places?
8. Good places to eat for a reasonable price? Reasonable to me is like $10-15 a plate.
