I've been engaged for a few months and we've been working away at our wedding plans.  I started looking at dresses online last week and fell in love with a dress.  I decided to go try it on and see if it looked as good in person.  I called the bridal shop in my area that carries that designer to see if they had a sample and I was told they didn't.  However, they did have several similar dresses I could try on if I wanted an appointment.  My sister and I figured we'd just go and try on different dress shapes and have fun with it.
I went in thinking that I didn't want any ruching, and no satin.  I wanted a ball gown and really wanted a beaded top.  And I love tulle.  Nothing on the rack was anything similar to what I had seen online.  Finally I told my sister to just pull a few for the shape and something totally different.  I might hate the dress, but if I liked the shape, we'd be one step closer.
I had five different dresses to try on and I figured I'd try the dress that was opposite of what I thought I wanted first because I was going to hate it.  Joke's on me!  I LOVED everything about it!  I tried on ten dresses but nothing stacked up to the orginal.  I wouldn't leave the dressing room but finally ventured out to check it out in the big mirror.  My sister asked if we could see it with a belt.  The first belt was OK, but she asked to see another belt.  I wasn't even paying attention to what my sister and the consultant were doing but all of a sudden I saw the whole thing together and it was perfect!  I knew it was the "one".  I'm not the type to get like that about a dress, but I just knew anyway.
We're going back in two weeks with my mom and aunt to see what they think, but I'm 99% sure I'm going to get that dress.  And it was only half of my budget.
So excited I wanted to share!
