Post Wedding Brunch/ Lunch Question

I am thinking about hosting a post wedding brunch or lunch the day after our wedding. we will have numerous out of town guests travelling to cincinnati including most of the bridal party and the grooms parents.  The hotel for guests will be downtown within walking distance to the church and the reception venue so that they do not have to rent cars for the weekend (however some still might choose to).  I don't want my parents to host at their house becuase i'm extimating approx 40-60 people could attend and it's too much for them to worry about the day after a wedding, plus it's not convenient to downtown.  in a way to save on cost i was thinkig of hosting this at a park near downtown.  Does anyone have a suggestion of a park that is easy accessible from downtown and would be a good location for max of 60 ppl for an outdoor picnic style lunch/brunch?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

  • Ault Park, Eden Park, Devou Park are all within 15-20 minutes from down town. You can have people car pool or even rent a trolley to drive people. Not everyone will go so they may give you more options.

My fiance and I are planning on a brunch as well just to get all of our out-of-towners together one more time.  However I've heard that once the wedding is over, we are off the hook for having to pay for everything.  So we're just planning to arrange it and invite our guests to join us if they'd like.  So we're planning to do it at the Moerlein Lager House.  They have plenty of space for whoever is able to get up and be there.  Just a thought:)
  • we are doing it at the hotel we had the rooms blocked at, which is the garfield.
