First off I want to say that I feel blessed to write my reviews because of some of the bad experiences other brides have had lately! There were only a few small hiccups along the way but for the most part the vendors/accomodations were amazing!
Mandalay Bay Hotel- Vista Suite A
We rented the Vista Suite the night before our wedding and the night of our wedding and it worked out PERFECT! We were able to get into the suite on Thursday at 10am... and got the suite with the AMAZING view. I honestly do not have any complaints about the suite at all. It was perfect for our needs and was a great way to celebrate our big day. We had a small "welcome" gathering in our suite before we went on our bus tour on Thursday and then had all our guests back up to the suite afterwards to give gifts and so forth. On the day of the wedding, the BMs, mothers and I got ready in the suite... so great!. Following the wedding we had a small reception where guests mingled while we finished up pictures then we joined the guests for some drinks and toasts. I don't think I could ask for anything different.
Mandalay Bay Chapel B
Our wedding went pretty much flawlessly... the reason I gave the chapel a B was for two reasons. Haben was our coordinator through most of the process and she was not the best:(. She took forever to respond to an email/contact from me and I actually emailed her A WEEK before our wedding and she NEVER responded!!! I do not recommend her if you are assigned to her... asked to be reassigned. Granted... everything was perfect... flowers, organization, etc... went without an issue. The other issue we did have was that someone associated with the chapel actually walked two of our guests to the Wedding Chapel vs. VOF (even though the guests stated they needed to be at beach level where VOF is) and they missed our wedding:(. I was not happy about that at all.
Ceremony, preparation, etc was fantastic and BEAUTIFUL... can't complain much about anything else.
Double Decker Bus Strip Tour A+
This was the best idea we had (and thank all you knotties for suggesting it!). It was so much fun and our guests LOVED It... even guests that have been out to Vegas 20 times or more! They all liked that they could just sit back and watch... not having to worry about traffic or running into people. It was one of the best parts of our weekend and would do it again in a heartbeat. The driver was very accomodating... even let us make a beer stop within the first 20 minutes of our trip and we ran over by a little bit and that did not matter either! My mom complained about the music (heavy metal) because we forgot to bring our ipods to play and had to listen to the drivers music!
HARMONY MEDINA A++++++++++
FANTASTIC, FUNNY and PROFESSIONAL! She was amazing. I had a blast with her and she was so at ease. I really did feel beautiful and my BMs were gorgeous after her magical work. I don't think I could have got better hair, make-up or experience else where and her prices cannot be beat! She was creative with those BMs that didn't know what they wanted and she was even able to make my mother-n-law happy (who IS the pickiest person I have ever met) with her make-up. Harmony rocks!!!!
Jason's Deli B
I can't rate the quality of food because I didn't get any because by the time we got to the suite after the wedding it had been gobbled up! From what I heard... it was great. The reason I rated it a B is because we did not get things that seemed obvious that we should have... for instance we got a cheeseball but no crackers? We also got veggies but there were no dips of any kind?? Outside of that... all well!
Cashman A
Honestly... I can't complain about them at all. They actually took great pics to the point that we ended up blowing our budget on some pics that we did not intend on getting but our photographer was amazing. The prices were expensive... over $1400 to get all the pics but my friend who is a photographer said that is not uncommon. We did not buy all the pics but did get a couple big prints (which we did not plan on getting but couldn't pass up the amazing pics). I do wish we would had some more fun/creative pics but with the time allowed... it was great!
The one negative experience we had was after our wedding we wanted to go the the Vegas sign for a picture and our cab driver was an *SSHOLE!!! He even told us he didn't want us in the car because we were not enough fare... who does that to a bridal couple?!?!?!? Needless to say there were words exchanged between the DH and the driver when we exited the car (after we did make it to the sign for our pic) and my step daughter was well away from the car. He seriously put us in a bad mood temporarily. KUDOS to the MB taxi catcher guy... he told the driver off and told him not to come back. What a POS!
