I'm sorry to hear that you're having one of those moments... I'm a teacher in a low socio-economic area and currently doing my masters in social work, so I totally get how stressful it can be! It would be so cool to be a wedding planner! I hope that you're feeling better soon.

I had one of those moments about my job a while ago too and was thinking of moving to Maui and working in the wedding business also. We should start a company! :-)

Il do cupcakes....and cake pops....so few do it. Il also specialize in leis. Il make welcome bags too...seems everyone makes one up. I think there is a career in there somewhere lol.

I've been in social work for a long time. It'd be nice to make a change and do something creative and filled with happy thoughts! I say we do move to Maui and start a business. It really takes a destination bride to help another destination bride out. And I can so make good cupcakes, too!

There have been a few HI Knotties who have done just that! Evonne Wong started a planning business years ago and seems to have moved out of that and now does photography with her husband... I think they're working out of Oahu/San Fransisco now with Visionari.
