We're probably going to be booking it ourselves online.  We're also probably going to keep it smaller, otherwise we'd probably use a travel agent.

I did a lot of research online first, but it helped me to narrow down a location first and then look at resorts.  If I just looked at resorts all over I would have been caught up in details to much to actually pick a destination.

Btw we decided on Sandals Royal Bahamian in the Bahamas Cool

We are doing it online for the most part. We called RC directly to book the cruise because we wanted to ensure we got the best room available at the price we were willing to pay. Our goal is to book flight and hotel by February. We'll probably do this through Expedia or Orbitz.

We're getting a deal thru a woman DH works with who is a "member" of the resort we're going to.  We set it up through a sort-of travel agent via her for the room, but DH found the flights online himself.

We were going to go through a travel agent at first, but once I started to do my own research I found that we could get things much cheaper by just booking online ourselves.

We booked our 7-day southern Caribbean cruise through Carnival directly and got a great deal. Then we purchased our flights through Expedia, we watched for about a month before finally booking.

I did research online and called a travel agent to see if she could match the price or find somehting similar.  She ended up finding something cheaper and I felt much more safe using a travel agent because if there were any problems I knew it would be taken care of by someone other than me.

We used a travel agent. I know most people like finding their own flights and things but I agree with Candi - we liked having the security of a Travel agent.

DH was actually able to find BETTER prices then the travel agent so the agent matched the price - and then some.

My advice would be to be prepared to do a little work on your own to make sure you get the best price. We love our agent and he was able to secure things for us that we wont even have to worry about like a shuttle to and from the airport and all of the "extras" included in the honeymoon package.

Thank you Gabs, do you still have their info, I want to shop around but I am worried about planning things on our own.  I hope to go to Aruba just depends on cost.  How far ahead do you have to plan we haven't even started!
