Wedding Reception sites, is this as bad as having it at a VFW?

Ok I want a great wedding but have a tight budget. I do not like the look of plain halls but one hall came to mind that might be good, THe Garabaldi Club in Plymouth. What do you think? Its a perfect size for my size of wedding and It allows me to bring in my own caterer who I know, but is it to VFWish?? PLEASE HELP!

    Not familiar with it, but check Highfield Hall.  They were relatively reasonable and will let you bring everything in.
