And I lost my job. MAJOR downer. I had already started looking and exploring some options last week, but now I have to ramp it up. I reached out to some contacts I have and I have a phone pre-screen today that I hope will turn into an interview. I cannot afford to stay unemployed long. sucky timing too. I have my cruise in less than 2 weeks and I was planning on having my bonus money pay for our "play time" on the ship. Now I wont be getting bonus money at all.

Needless to say, this has also put a kink in my honeymoon plans, so November, please get here so I can change my siggy!

Thanks ladies. It was definitely unexpected, but I'm doing my best to stay positive. I already have 1 interview scheduled for next week, so I'm confident I'll find something quick.

: Aww, I'm so sorry. The good news is that life has a funny way of working itself out. My fiance lost his job 2 months ago and was just hired a couple of weeks ago to a job with a 10 thousand dollar raise. I bet you can find something even better than you had. I've been laid off before and I know how it feels, but you will get through this.

. Don't worry, when one door closes, another opens. That is really true. FI was laid off back in March and just started a new job this week where there is much more opportunity and upside. Stay positive. I'm certain you will find something soon.
