Recommendations for the vendors of event rental?

There are so many event rental vendors there, so just wondered if you have any recommended vendors? Has anyone worked with TLC before? Is it good?

Also, for the reception site, is Radisson Milwaukee North Shore a good place?

Thanks a bunch!

PS. I'm in Milwaukee area...

I have been to a few events where Teri (tlc designs) set up. Her personality is so outgoing and she's such a pleasure to work with and the most reasonably priced for chair covers.

I know of Top Choice Rentals (http://www.topchoicerentals.com) in Kenosha and General Rental (http://www.genrental.com) in Racine, but have not used either of them yet.  I love working with Top Choice.

Also, I got information on Party Town (www.seepartytown.com) and Something Borrowed (www.somethingborrowedllc.com)

I used TLC for my wedding on 9/5/09 at the Metro Hotel.  They were very quick to reply to e mails.  I had them set up the chair covers and sashes along with the napkins.  They made arrangements directly with the hotel so it was one less thing I had to follow up on.  They also picked up the items when done and set that up with the hotel as well.  The Metro staff was nice enough to take all the chair covers off and remove the sashes, so again one less item for my list.
    Hope this helps!

I've been to a few events at the Radisson North Shore--I like the ballrooms and the courtyard a lot!  I think the food is pretty good for the price and it is very convenient as far as parking--all in all, pretty good experiences!

I was going to use TLC for my wedding but my coordinator told me not to. I guess she did linens for a wedding there and the company she ordered from did not have enough of the table linens on the day of the wedding. So she ordered some that she thought would look similar and didn't tell the bride. I guess it turned out looking really bad. This was sometime last year. Maybe she's fixed the problem. I just didn't feel comfortable booking her.
