Reception Timeline

How did/is everyone planning out their reception timeline with speeches, dances, etc??

    I spoke with my DJ and he had the best ideas for timelines on first dance, cake cutting, garter/bouquet etc. Also need to find out when reception is having dinner to plan that. I would ask DJ first and see what they recommend if having.
    I know for my 8-midnight reception it went like this:

    8pm-introduce bridal party
    8:15- eat dinner
    900pm- cut cake
    915p first dance
    920; father daughter/ mother- son
    930-1030 dance party
    1030- garter bouquet
    1045-midnight dance party

    I know the times might be a bit off, but the DJ suggested doing the garter/bouquet toss inbetween dancing so ppl were on floor.

    oh yeah at beginning of dinner my dad gave a speech thanking everyone, then we got food and towards end of eating did speeches.

    I am just signing with my coordinator and she will be handling than and things will be changed based on my taste.  but I have no idea how it would be if I had to do it myself
